Fast Curing MMA Resin
It is solventfree, physiologically inoffensive and NZ AsureQuality approved for use in food critical and CIP areas. It has the fastest curing time, highest-rated inter-layer adhesion value and can successfully be installed down to -30⁰C.
This flooring system cures in just two hours, minimising production downtime. When considering the real costs of flooring maintenance, key factors include total expenses, the best time to schedule work, expected downtime, and potential revenue loss. This flooring solution provides clear answers to these questions with confidence, accuracy, and minimal disruption.
This flooring system can be installed at temperatures as low as -30°C with cure times around two hours, unlike epoxies and polyurethanes, which cannot be applied below +5°C. The true cost of installing floors in coolers and freezers includes expenses for heating the area, removing perishable items, and restoring the temperature. Using this flooring solution in such environments can reduce costs by seven to ten times compared to conventional resin systems.
This low-viscosity, solvent-free acrylic primer penetrates deeply into concrete, filling pores and capillaries to strengthen the surface and enhance adhesion. Proper bond tests show that the primer creates such a strong bond that it often shears the aggregate from the concrete rather than breaking at the bond line.
The resin used in this flooring contains built-in antimicrobial properties. An independent study at ISEGA Laboratories in Germany found that contact with the resin reduced Staph and E. Coli bacteria by 90,000 and 70,000 times, respectively, over 24 hours. Additionally, it holds New Zealand’s AsureQuality Certificate for use in food-critical and CIP areas, ensuring safety in sensitive environments.
These floors contain about three and a half times more resin than trowel-on epoxy floors, offering superior resistance to caustics, proteins, sugars, acids, oils, and fats, while also creating a completely waterproof environment.
Traditional resin systems, like epoxy or polyurethane, rely on mechanical bonds to stick layers together, while this system uses chemical bonds that fuse each layer into one solid body. This unique chemical bond eliminates the need for mechanical abrasion, such as grinding or sanding, between coats or during maintenance and replacement, saving both time and money over the long term.
Manufactured in Germany and used globally for over 50 years, these resins are recognized as top-tier specialist flooring solutions, known for their longevity, durability, and very low maintenance costs.
